Server Update!
In my post Ch-ch-changes! I spoke about getting WordPress to run on IIS 7, Vista, etc. It was a huge pain. 2 days ago I had a genius idea that I was surprised I hadn’t thought of before. What prompted it was an article on Engadget about a tiny linux computer that would fit in a wall wart – TINY! It has a relatively powerful ARM processor (usually used in cell phones) with 512 MB RAM and 512 MB onboard flash memory. The first thing I thought about that was: LAMP server! I have to wait until the price drops to $50 to see if it will work.
Ode to Muse
I just wanted to post on how much I love the artist Muse. Their sound can be described as epic, and is often compared to Radiohead (though I find Muse’s lyrics less cryptic and melodies more, should I say? empowering). Plus, Matt Bellamy shares appearance and birthday with a best bud of mine, Jarron. What’s not to love? While some of the lyrics can be interpreted in such a way that is contrary to what I believe, many of them are spot on. I’ve seen them twice in concert and each show was amazing. Belize: February 11-February 18 2009
This is part 0 of a 4 part blog about Julie and Bradford’s trip to Belize. Posts 1 and 3 will be written by Julie, while posts 2 and 4 will be written by Bradford.
Back in October 2008 I got an email from AirfareWatchdog.com (great service, I highly recommend it) alerting me to amazing prices to Belize from Salt Lake City and a handful of other airports. I quickly looked up where Belize was, saw that it was in a tropical locale and decided to ask Julie what she thought. I emailed my family and friends and called Julie. Julie can’t pass up an adventure, so we decided to go. It was such a short sale that my unimpulsive family and friends missed out; just my Julie and me. Total cost for two round trip tickets from Salt Lake City: $420.

Site Back Up!
Over the past 4 days my blog has been down. I was silly and decided to swap out motherboards, thinking Vista wouldn’t have a problem with that. Well… it did. But, I’ve been extra diligent by way of daily backups, so almost everything is restored (I lost a few comments, unfortunately).
